Week One: Lines, Shapes, Contours, Proportions

Great to be drawing with the Salinas Sketchers again! New students practiced holding the pencil sideways while sketching--a little bit of a challenge--and drawing with lines and shapes. Everyone did a great job of drawing accurate proportions. Scroll down to view your drawings with my comments.

Returning students took their previous lesson drawing (the agave plant) to a larger sheet of paper, keeping accurate proportions while drawing BIG! Everyone did an excellent job of drawing contour lines showing the edges of the leaves. Everyone got into the zone while using the different kinds of pencil leads.
